Playschool Orientation

All registered Playschool families attending Fall Quarter 2018 are strongly encouraged to attend orientation. You’ll get a grand introduction to how our Playschool works, from daily classroom operations to parent involvement that is essential in keeping our cooperative running smoothly. You can receive and/or turn in your registration paperwork as well. Come meet and greet fellow Playschool families, parent-volunteer Playschool board members, and the teacher, Mariah Watson.

This may be an event that is easier without your kids, but if it is the only way you can come, please bring them along. No child care is provided. There is a chance for your kids to check out the classroom during our Open House on Saturday the 22nd, 10 a.m. to noon.

Orientation is on Thursday, September 20th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the classroom. Orientation is open house style, meaning you can drop in anytime between 6 and 7:30 – you will not need to stay the whole time. We are located on the lower floor in the Jefferson County Rec Center, 620 Tyler St in Port Townsend. See you there!

Love. Talk. Play.

The “Love. Talk. Play.” campaign aims to surround parents of children birth to age 3 with simple messages about three key things all parents can and need to be doing with their children every day: love, talk and play.

Shaped by information from national early learning experts, conversations with parents and input from the state’s regional early learning coalitions and state partners, the campaign reaches out to parents with these messages and ways they can take advantage of everyday moments.
